Can Acupuncture Really Work For Depression?

Acupuncture was developed by the ancient Chinese as a form of medicine and has been practiced by them for thousand of years.
Today most western countries have used these alternative treatments with practitioners using these methods of treating patients.
Needles are placed onto certain points of the body for the treatment to work which can look painful but many patients never feel a thing and many fall asleep during treatments.
Over a number of years acupuncture has been used to treat patients with depression.
The way acupuncture works is by letting the blood slowly combine with acupressure and has worked so well its manage to survive for so many centuries with great success.
Practitioners were never willing to share their knowledge with the western world and that's way it was kept a secret for thousands of years.
The chi is an energy force unseen to the eye so when the points are stimulated then the affects of acupuncture come into play.
Using acupuncture for depression, needles will be placed on the right hand side of ones body so that the flow of chi is corrected.
Studies have shown that women that suffer from mild depression are spilt into 3 groups.
The first and second groups are recommended to be treated for there depression with traditional acupuncture and the third are told to wait and see if there depression improves.
The first two groups will receive acupuncture as the required method of helping there depression, the third group would be placed on a list and if there is no improvement with there depression then treatment will commence.
Many studies have proved that using acupuncture for depression has mixed reviews of patients that say the treatment has been a success and others have reported that there was no change so the treatment was unsuccessful.
