How to Get Pictures & Writing on to a Pillowcase

    Fabric-safe carbon transfer paper method

    • 1). Lay the pillowcase on a clean, flat surface. Place the piece of fabric-safe carbon transfer paper on top and place the design you would like onto the transfer paper.

    • 2). Pin the three layers together to keep any of them from shifting.

    • 3). Trace over the image with a blunt ended instrument, such as a capped ballpoint pen. Press firmly as you work to make sure the carbon paper transfers the image to the pillowcase.

    • 4). Remove the pins and take the carbon paper and image off the pillowcase. The image should now appear on the pillowcase.

    • 5). Trace over the image on the pillowcase with puffy paint, fabric pens or fabric markers.

    Iron-on Transfers

    • 1). Print the picture or image you desire from the computer on to a piece of iron-on transfer paper.

    • 2). Lay the pillowcase on a clean, heat-safe surface. Set the iron to the setting recommended by the pillowcase manufacturer. Iron over the pillowcase to remove any wrinkles. Allow the pillowcase to cool to room temperature.

    • 3). Place the iron-on picture, decal or other image on the pillowcase and move it to the position you would like the image.

    • 4). Iron over the design, according to the manufacturer instructions from the iron-on image. Press firmly as you go to make sure the image transfers properly.

    • 5). Allow the iron-on backing to cool and pull it gently away from the pillowcase. The image will stay attached to the pillowcase.
