- 1). Blot spills on the range top with an absorbent cloth. Use a wet cloth to rinse the area, and then wipe it dry with another clean cloth.
- 2). Apply mild cleaners to stained areas if you can't remove them with water alone. Follow the directions on the cleaner packaging for the right way to use the cleaner. Make sure you rinse the cleaner thoroughly because it could permanently damage the cooktop if the cleaner residue remains when you heat up your range.
- 3). Place the burner grates in the dishwasher to clean them thoroughly. For best results, remove any stuck on food before you put them in the dishwasher.
- 4). Clean the burner caps and the burner heads with a mild abrasive cleaner or with a soap-filled scouring pad.
