How to Inspect a Property Before an Auction
- 1). Visit the auctioneer's website to find out the location and address of the auction property. Visit the property on your own to inspect the neighborhood, and to examine the exterior of the premises.
- 2). Contact a property solicitor to set up a survey of the property, before the auction date. Your property solicitor should check deed titles, carry out local searches and inform you of any special conditions of sale.
- 3). Attend any scheduled public inspections of the home. These inspections give you a chance to tour the inside of the home and find out what condition the home is in. Likewise, you should also attend any regular open houses.
- 4). Call the auctioneer or estate agent in charge of the property, to ask any additional questions you might have.
