How to Throw a Party in Las Vegas
- 1). Make a checklist of all the things you need to do before your party. Start planning several months in advance. Party planning requires a lot of effort and it is easy to accidentally overlook smaller details. Cross the details off the list as you get to them.
- 2). Select a party date. Call several Las Vegas venues that are large enough to host your party. Ask for booking prices and compare prices with other venues. Ask how early you can visit the venues to decorate. Ask if they offer discounts on certain days of the week or in conjunction with any decorators or catering companies.
- 3). Call hotels that are fairly close to the party venue and make hotel reservations for your guests. Make sure they can accommodate all of your traveling guests on the weekend of your party.
- 4). Book local entertainment for your party. You can call anyone, from DJs to local live entertainment. Alternatively, you can create a music mix on your laptop and rent a sound system for the party.
- 5). Choose a theme. Shop for theme decorations, or hire a party planner or decorator. In addition to wall decorations and center pieces, purchase tablecloths, napkins, cups, plates and utensils.
- 6). Decide what type of food and beverages to serve. Select a catering company if you do not want to prepare the food yourself. Confirm their availability for the night of your party. Hire a party bartender, if desired. Ask the bar tender if you must provide your own beverages or if he can provide them for you. Make sure all caterers and bartenders know how many people you're expecting.
- 7). Figure out travel logistics. Who will be picking you up at the airport? Does the hotel have an airport service? Will you need taxis or rental cars? Make sure your guests know how to get to and from the party.
- 8). Send invitations to your guests and include all of the aforementioned information. Include the date, time and location of the party. Make sure your guests know which travel accommodations they must make on their own so you don't accidentally double book flights or hotel rooms. Include a RSVP card.
