Farming Cloth in the Outlands
World of Warcraft and especially The Burning Crusade expansion, is full of scarce items that players want and are willing to pay for.
The Outlands is the area added in The Burning Crusade and it's found by venturing into the Dark Portal in The Blasted Lands.
You can usually get to The Blasted Lands through a portal in any major city, just ask a guard.
So what's the big deal about Outlands and cloth farming? It's actually a really good way to make gold at level 85, 90 and even if you're still in the 60s.
The biggest thing that players want in World of Warcraft is gold so that they can buy epic gear and plow through the end-game dungeons.
You can make gold by going to obscure places and farming rare items.
Outlands Farming There are many things in the Outlands that you can farm.
One of those is Frostweave Cloth, which will talk about below.
The others are ore, herbs and leather.
If you're a miner you'll find Fel Iron Ore in Hellfire Peninsula.
If you're an Herbalist you'll find Dreaming Glory, Fel Weed and Netherbloom.
If you have Skinning, you can find Knothide leathers, which are also very valuable.
Most of these trade goods are very valuable but you should check your realm's auction house before venturing out to make gold.
Sometimes people farm a lot of these trade goods and post them on the auction house which drops the price rapidly if done improperly.
These items often command high prices because it requires a lot of time and effort for players to travel to the Outlands and farm these otherwise forgotten trade goods.
Farming Netherweave Cloth Netherweave Cloth is the level 60 to level 70 cloth found in Outlands.
It's used by Tailors from level 300 to 375 and is usually only found in the Outlands.
Tailors usually use this to level their skill but will sometimes use it to craft uncommon items to disenchant and get enchanting materials.
Either way, they will buy cloth from you and will make a lot of gold.
So how do you farm Netherweave Cloth? Well, there are a few ways.
If you're high enough level, like level 70 or higher, you can go directly into Hellfire Peninsula and go into Hellfire Ramparts and plow through orcs who will drop a lot of Netherweave Cloth.
If you're level 85 you can clear this entire dungeon in 10 minutes and then reset the instance and do it again.
You can reset the instance 5 times every hour collecting roughly 20-30 stacks of Netherweave per hour.
This is by far the best place to farm Netherweave, but the second best place is in Netherstorm.
This farming location works much better if you're level 68-70.
There are several camps of Blood Elfs throughout the zone where you can find Netherweave.
There are also packs of Ethereals and Orcs who also drop the cloth.
