Healthy Menus for Preschoolers

    Breakfast

    • Preschoolers go bananas over this chocolate monkey shake.

      Simple breakfasts do the trick for preschoolers who are more interested in Barney than breakfast. Make breakfast fun but simple. Follow these easy and healthy breakfast menus.

      Chocolate Monkey
      1 cup low-fat milk
      Ice cubes
      1 tbsp. peanut butter
      1 banana
      1 package sugar free hot cocoa mix or 1 tbsp. chocolate syrup.

      Put milk in blender. Place ice cubes in blender. Ice cubes thicken up the shake. Use the amount of ice cubes to likeness of thickness. Put all other ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth.

      Cinnamon Banana French Toast
      1 large extremely ripe banana
      2 eggs
      1/2 cup low-fat milk
      1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
      3 tbsp. butter

      Blend banana, eggs, milk and cinnamon. Place mixture in pan. Place bread in pan and allow bread to soak up mixture on both sides. Allow 20 minutes for bread to soak up all mixture. Melt butter in hot skillet. Cook bread for 3 minutes on both sides or until golden brown. Serve with fruit of choice of syrup topping.

    Lunch

    • Bagel pizzas hit a healthy homerun with preschoolers.

      No more begging your preschooler to eat lunch. Place these fun and healthy lunch menus before the tot and watch the food disappear.

      Bagel Pizza
      6 split bagels
      1 jar pizza sauce
      1 package mozzarella cheese

      Place bagels on a baking sheet. Spoon desired amount of pizza sauce on bagels. Place cheese on top. Put in oven at 350 degrees F until cheese melts. Serve warm.

      Pizza Soup
      1 can Campbell's tomato soup
      6 to 8 turkey pepperoni slices
      1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

      Heat soup. Add warm pepperoni slices and shredded cheese.
