Guess Who Game

There are many sorts of board games designed for all the members of the family to enjoy.
Many of these involve physical skills or strategizing.
But perhaps the most interesting, exciting and entertaining mechanism involves creative guesswork.
Want such game? Look no further than the Guess Who Game.
This guessing game was created by Israelis Ora and Theo Coster, founders of the well known toy company Orda Industries Ltd.
, now known as Theora Design.
In Great Britain, it was introduced in 1979 by Milton Bradley.
Only three years later, the game was brought to the United States markets.
In 1989, the game became the recipient of the Children's Game of the Year (Arets Bornespil) from the Danish gaming industry award-giving body Legetojsbranchens Faellesrad.
Since then, different companies carried the toy including Chad Valley, Hasbro, Pavilion and Pressman Toy Corp.
The original Guess Who Game includes game board trays which has pictures that can be flipped over.
These pictures are a collection of faces with different features such as color of hair and eye and accessories like hats and glasses.
It also includes mystery cards, face cards and face frames, score keepers and instructions manual.
One of the players has to pick the 'Mystery Person', which the other player would have to guess.
The 'guessing' player has to ask characteristic questions.
As the questioning goes along, the tiles have to be flipped over in order to narrow down the choices until the 'Mystery Person' will be revealed.
These early Guess Who Game versions showcased more men in the pictures such as the case in the 1987 edition which featured only five women.
But later on, the versions produced displayed equal number of male and female images.
In addition, characters from different brand labels were featured in some sets.
Some of the favorites were characters from Star Wars, Disney, Marvel Comics and the Littlest Pet Shop.
There is also a Milton Bradley version called the Guess Who Extra.
This one features six various character themes, equivalent to over 120 new faces in the game board tiles.
It comes with an electric timer, light and sound effects.
The pieces are neatly placed in a compact case.
This one needs two 1.
5V or R03 batteries.
Another innovative version is the Guess Who Game Travel.
This has 2 game units, 40 Face cards and a deck of mystery cards.
And finally, the Mix and Mash edition that enables customization of characters is surely a wonderful choice to enhance imagination.
This includes a character checklist pad, character stands, and cards for each part of the face such as the head, eye, and mouth.
