camping angel - I found out about this campground through friends about 15 years ago, and I RV camped there in September 2005.
Campground Review
What makes this campground great is the fact that I don't like to camp and get eaten by bugs and get cold and have no running hot water. This place has everything.
I went to camping in a tent 15 years ago with the kids. I grumbled about going, but once I got there I couldn't wait to go back.
I have gone through the tent phase to the popup phase, to the small trailer, and finally to the slide-out travel trailer. Just to be at this place. They have two pools, two lakes, boating, paved roads (I like to take quiet walks at night), snack bar, no bugs, hot showers, (I don't need that now since I have my own shower). You feel as if you are in your second home, but the view is terrific. And best of all they have DJ dancing every Saturday night and play everything for everybody. We knew the original owners and the second owners, and they have always made us feel special. I have already made my reservations for the season, and it is what I look forward to every year. It truly is my home away from home. One last thing - I have asked a lot of people who camp there about other places they have been to, and some of them come from other states. they all say the same thing. They have tried other places, but once they came to Alpine they knew this was it. Ditto for me.
