- Established in 1966, Linn-Benton Community College is a two-year public college serving the residents of Linn and Benton counties. The college is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Credits from the college can be transferred to universities within the Oregon University System, and since 1998 the college has offered a dual enrollment program with Oregon State University.
- The college's main campus is located in Albany, approximately 11 miles east of Corvallis. The college also operates centers in Corvallis, Lebanon and Sweet Home, Oregon. Opened in 1971, the Benton Center is located at 757 Northwest Polk Avenue in downtown Corvallis, and offers day, evening and some weekend instruction. Students attending the Benton Center can work towards an associate degree, certification or complete university transfer programs.
- Linn-Benton Community College offers a range of one-year, two-year and short-term educational opportunities, including general education, professional development, continuing education, lifelong learning, adult basic education and distance education. The college confers associate of science and associate of applied science degrees, as well as technical and professional certificates. It also offers associate of general studies and associate of arts programs for students wishing to transfer to Oregon State University to continue their studies after two years at the college.
- Approximately 95 majors are offered at the college. Areas of study include agriculture, horticulture, animal technology and horse management. Technology, mechanical and industrial programs are offered at the certificate and degree levels. Diagnostic imaging, dental assistant, nursing, health promotion and education, and medical assistant programs are some of the health sciences programs at the college. Students may also enroll in culinary arts, journalism and criminal justice programs.
