"One Life to Live" Recap for Thursday, August 5, 2010
Todd calls Greg to the house, wherein he asks to speak with Tea alone. Todd goes to the Buenos Dias to meet Danielle. Greg tells Tea that her condition has worsened, she is suffering from cognitive degeneration and only has weeks to live instead of months. Tea is shocked at the news and even more surprised that Greg explains that he has something that might help, if she so chooses. Tea explains that she will think about it and call him ASAP.
Cris and Layla return to Llanview, with a box of Evangeline’s things. Layla starts to go thru it while Cris goes to tell his mom. Cris arrives at the Buenos Dias to tell Carlotta about Evangeline. Todd overhears everything and asks how Cris could give up on her. Cris explains that there is nothing anyone could do, Danielle calms Todd down and wonders where Tea is. Todd explains about Greg’s visit. Neither can sit around and wait, so they head home.
Cris heads home and finds Layla looking thru the box, tears flowing. Cris suggests that she put the box away for now. Layla finds some documents regarding Bennett Thompson and throws them into the box - revealing a photo of Bennett, who is, in fact, Elijah Clarke.
Ford and James are making a life in Llanview, even though ford tells James to stay away from certain people - Starr being at the top of the list. Ford heads out for a second. Nate, delivery boy for Buenos Dias, brings food by. James doesn’t hold a grudge against Nate for stealing the money.
Ford returns just in time to hear James call Nate “bro” and flips out, thinking Inez told Nate about him and James. Ford disrespects Inez, which Nate combats and sticks up for his mom. Nate storms out. James tells Ford that they cannot bash Nate or his mom every time they see him.
Inez arrives at the police station, ready to put her resume in for a job. She runs into Bo and thanks him again for not arresting her the other night. Bo learns that she is there to apply for the job and takes her into his office. Inez is confused, then learns that Bo is not a patrol officer, but the commissioner of police. Inez feels stupid, but Bo quickly makes her feel comfortable and offers Inez the job, which she takes. Inez asks Bo not to reveal what she told him the other night about her sons, Bo explains that her secret is safe with him. Unfortunately, Nate arrived at the station to deliver food and wonders what secret Inez is keeping from him.
Starr is worried that Cole isn’t home yet, but is relieved when he walks thru the door. Cole explains that Hannah almost died last night, Starr thinks that Hannah was doing it for attention but then realizes that she didn’t even know Cole was going to visit her. Cole wants to clear the air and explains that Hannah means nothing to him, Starr explains that James means nothing to her - even though they kissed. Cole is upset to learn that James kissed Starr but eases as he realizes it was just an act. Starr and Cole are on the path to reconciliation as they celebrate Cole’s not having to go to prison. After their celebration, Cole goes to see Ford so that they can talk. James goes to see Starr so that they can talk.
