• A Numark TTX is a brand of DJ turntable that plays a basic record. But, through internal electronic circuitry, the music can be manipulated to play faster or slower with effects spread through the melody.

• The key lock feature allows a DJ to hold a key, or pitch, for a period of time. While it is being held, electronic algorithms alter the BPM, or beats per minute, at the discretion of the DJ. The pitch holds as long as the DJ is using the pitch fader adjustment knob. The resulting beats can be incredibly slow or manically fast.
