Quick and DIrty Overview of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show



The North American International Auto Show (“NAIAS") is arguably Detroit's biggest event. In fact, the show's many national and world debuts help make it one of the auto industry's biggest events. To help you navigate it, check out the Event Schedule and Ticket Information for the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

Public Show hours are 9 AM to 10 PM, except for Sunday when the show is open until 7 PM

  • Press Preview: January 12th through 13th, 2015
  • Industry Preview: January 14th through 15th, 2015
  • Charity Preview (benefits several Children's Charities in Michigan): Friday evening, January 16th, 2015
  • Public Show: January 17th through 25th, 2015
 

Event Calendar:


January 11th, Sunday:
  • Society of Automotive Analysts: The Annual Automotive Outlook Conference -- Examining the Thriving and Evolving Luxury Vehicle Market -- will take place at Cobo Center from 3 PM to 6:45 PM. 
  • 19th Annual Urban Wheel Awards will be hosted by Judge Mablean at Detroit's Garden Theater.
  • SINO U.S. Auto Industry Summit

January 12th, Monday:

The 2015 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year Awards will be announced on the Atrium Stage at 7:30 AM. The three car finalists are the Ford Mustang, Hyundai Genesis, and Volkswagen Golf. The three truck/utility finalists are the Chevrolet Colorado, Ford F-150, and Lincoln MKC.

January 13th, Tuesday:
  • Automotive News World Congress will take place at the Detroit Marriott in the Renaissance Center on January 13th through 14th.
  • The One Show, Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards, will be held on the Atrium Stage at Cobo Center at 4:55 PM.
  • EyesOn Design Awards for best production and concept vehicles will be held on the Atrium Stage at Cobo Center. The Catalyst Award will be given to Bob Lutz.
  • Plastics in Automotive Conference will be held at the Book Cadillac Hotel on January 13th through 14th.
  • Autoline Panel Discussion
  • NAIAS Appreciation Reception

January 14th, Wednesday:
  • Exclusive Dealer VIP Access will take place from 8 AM to noon.
  • Autoline Supplier Symposium will take place at the Cobo Center at 3 PM on both January 14th and 15th. 
  • The Crain's DetroitBusiness Symposium will take place at 9 AM.
  • The AutoBeat Group's Advanced Mobility Symposium

January 15th, Thursday:
  • The Detroit Free Press Automotive Leadership Awards
  • Multicultural Media Luncheon with Keith Clinkscales will be held at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel.

January 16th, Friday:
  • Inforum's Annual Auto Show Breakfast
  • The Charity Preview will take place at Cobo Center from 6 to 9 PM.

January 21st, Wednesday
