How to Remove Gel Paint

    Removing Gel Paint From Clothing

    • 1). Pour heavy duty liquid laundry detergent on the stain and rub the fabric together to push the detergent into the garment.

    • 2). Mix color-safe bleach with 1 gallon of warm water in a bucket or sink. Soak the garment for 30 minutes. Rinse and drain the sink.

    • 3). Wash the stained clothing in a regular warm wash cycle. Check to make sure the stain is gone before putting the garment in the dryer. Repeat the above process if necessary.

Removing Gel Paint From Tables and Walls

    • 1). Mix dish washing soap with 1 gallon of warm water in a bucket.

    • 2). Dip a sponge or soft cloth in the bucket of warm, soapy water. Wring the sponge out to remove excess water. Wash the paint gently until removed.

    • 3). Pour chlorine bleach in a spray bottle and fill the bottle with water.

    • 4). Spray the chlorine bleach mixture on hard surfaces like plastic or sealed wooden tables. Wait 10 minutes.

    • 5). Wipe the chlorine bleach spray off the table with a sponge or soft cloth. Rinse the sponge in running water and wipe again to remove all the bleach residue.
