Pink and Green

• Hot pink and lime green make a striking and attractive color pairing for your little girl's bedroom, particularly if you've settled on a pink flower theme for the space. Paint the accent wall bright green, then use flower-shaped stencils to adorn the middle of the wall with a bouquet of fuchsia and pink flowers such as roses, carnations and poppies. But blue--which is a color of calm and serenity--is subdued enough, even in bright variations, to paint the entire room with, and help your little one get a good night's sleep. Orange is the color of enthusiasm and creativity, so an orange desk could help improve your child's concentration when completing homework or a school project. Blue and Red

• The primary shades of blue and red are often attractive to children, since red represents energy and activity and is balanced with blue's loyal and calm nature. Red walls are too overpowering for the entire room and may result in your child being too hyper to get to sleep at night, so an accent wall in cherry red with bright blue stripes is fitting. Red and blue are also good colors for a kid's bedroom with a policeman or firefighter theme. For instance, wallpaper lining that features prints of police hats will contrast well against red wall paneling, while wallpaper trim containing yellow or red accents on fire hats will appear balanced and attractive against a blue wall.
  
  

Pink and Purple

• A pretty princess room will look especially whimsical when hot pink and bright purple are the main colors. Purple is the color of balance, so even if the hue is vibrant, you can use it to paint all four walls for a pleasant yet lively look.
