Animoto and the 1st Music Ad by Avante 5 "Slippery Globes"
I just tried out the FREE service provided by the company Animoto.
Many of you out there may have already heard about what they offer.
But for those of you who aren't Animoto is a terrific service for anyone interested in making their own videos (or branding visuals) using video clips and photos.
Animoto's FREE service gives you the opportunity to make 30 second videos with the ability to add any music you want to generate a very clean and streamlined package that takes only minutes to create - from start to finish.
The process is easy.
You just upoad the video clip or photos you want to use and organize them in any order you want.
You can even upload the same photo or video clip multiple times if you want to create a loop.
Then you can add some, but very little, text if you choose.
Next you can add music or other audio to spruce up your mini-production.
The last step is to click on the "Produce Video" button and wait a few minutes for the video to render.
Once the video is finished you can download the video as a mP4 file right on to your computer and upload it to places like YouTube, Vimeo, or your own website and blog.
Or you can access embedding code to put it right on to your blog directly from Animoto.
All of these feature remember are FREE! Here are 3 ideas for how to use their FREE service in your own marketing, promotional, and branding approaches.
1.
Produce enough videos to develop a low-budget promotional DVD about your business or artistic projects.
Just collect the mP4 files from Animoto and arrange them for DVD.
2.
Another idea is to build on-line relationships with other artists, businesses, or marketers to get them to allow you to embed your videos on their websites or blogs.
3.
And finally, to make:30 second ads or commercials with contact information at the end of the video.
Depending on your business or project you can drive on- or off-line traffic to your store front or website with the contact information you leave at the end of the video.
By contact information I mean you provide a website URL, a phone number, or street address to get people to respond to your brief, but powerful, video presentation.
I would highly recommend the Animoto service to anyone interested in cheaply branding their band, company, or website on the Internet.
In fact, my whole approach to promoting and marketing my music and writing is exclusively through the use of FREE services such as Bandcamp (music download, purchases, listing building, and payments), Google Images (visual illustrations, free pictures), YouTube (related videos, video promotion), Blogger (article writing, website development, and building on-line relationships), iContact (e-mail and contact management), g-mail (e-mail service), and now Animoto (easy video creation and promotion).
Later on, I will probably do more with Twitter and other social media, but for now my interest is strongly focused on building on-line relationships with friends and fans.
In my opinion, the best way to begin building an on-line business is to do it cheaply.
After you've gotten some traction with your content, developed a clear concept of what you're going to create, and settled upon how to construct your network of on-line tools and services that's when you should start making your initial investments.
Because any money you put in before you reach a point of clarity about what you're doing and why is just a waste of resources.
So now I'd like to debut my very first music ad using Animoto featuring the song "Slippery Globes.
" I figured out how to turn a simple video into a very effective marketing and branding tool for FREE.
