How to Play a Golf Fade Shot - Learn the Secrets to Shaping the Golf Ball Out of Trouble!

Believe it or not there are actually times when being able to play a golf fade shot or a slice deliberately on the golf course comes in handy.
Being able to shape a golf shot is an invaluable skill when trying to manoeuvre your golf ball around trees and hazards and target tricky pin positions.
It can be difficult to fade or slice if you are a natural drawer or hooker of the golf ball.
However, it only requires a few minor adjustments in your set up and golf swing to perform this well.
Say for example you find yourself on the right edge of the fairway behind a wall of trees and the green is tucked on the right around 150 metres away.
This is the perfect opportunity to try and play a golf fade shot to get your golf ball to the green.
Your set up and alignment play a vital role in ensuring the flight of the golf ball bends around from left to right towards your intended target.
Firstly, aim for a spot to the left of the trees where you would like the ball flight to begin.
Next, adjust your stance so that your left foot (leading foot for right handers) is sitting behind your right foot (i.
e.
an angled stance pointing left).
You should still be aiming to the same spot left of the trees.
Next aim the club head to the green or a spot where you would like the golf ball to finish.
Lastly, ensure you make a normal golf swing and swing along the line of your feet and don't try and steer the golf club.
Let the arms and shoulders lead the downswing and you should slightly come across from an outside to inside swing path at impact to encourage a golf fade or slice flight path.
Give these tips a try and should find it a lot easier to play a golf fade shot and work the ball better around the golf course.
