How to Navigate Through the Social Media Sea - Part II

As we discussed in Part I of this series exploring the depths of the Social Media Marketing Sea can seem like an intimidating abyss unless you have a good guide who can introduce you to all the wonderful and friendly creatures you can encounter.
With more than 700 million divers already exploring this new richly populated Social Media Sea now is a great time to do more than get your feet wet.
If you have not taken the plunge allow me to guide you through our second of this 4 Part Diving Course where we will explore this new underwater scene together and make it less intimidating.
That way you can start to appreciate the beauty and capture new leads to new treasures that await you.
Once you get used to negotiating your way around the Facebook creatures discussed in the first part of this series, you will undoubtedly notice the second most common of all Social Media Marketing Sea Critters, known as Twitters.
Twitters are everywhere you look in the Social Media Sea.
In fact Twitters love to produce lots of offspring called Tweets.
There are reports of over 175 million registered Twitters in the Social Media Sea.
As you become more accustomed to your surroundings in this new world you will see little Tweets everywhere you look.
One very important thing to know about Tweets is that most are harmless and even may seem pointless to this Social environment.
And you may find yourself getting caught up in a school of Twitter followers and don't panic if you suddenly seem surrounded by many useless Tweets.
That can happen to the best of us no worries, you can easily move to a different school of Twitters.
This is a great tip to learn, be careful which Twitter information you choose to follow.
The more valuable the content the stronger less likely you will be in a sea of twit-less information.
Also, if you are looking to entice more Twitter critters when you dive, you will find the more time, spent following a few schools of twitters, the more a few will follow you back home again.
Another way to ensure an environment conducing for producing more twitters and tweets is to fill your area with lots of exclusive deals to bait your area of the sea.
Twitter followers love secret coupon codes, promo codes, and other exclusive discounts are some of the favorite foods that Twitters eat and produce more Tweets about it! Always be sure to populate your area of the sea with your Twitter ID where ever you go so that you can add more Twitter followers.
This means when you are hanging out with the Facebook Creatures, emailing other divers, feeding the bloggers & articles, placing ads, and even on your business cards, t-shirts and every place you travel in the Social Media sea be sure you leave a Twitter ID so you can create a nice school of Twitter following you! Well, it is time to resurface to replenish our air tanks once again so that we can take another dive into a different part of the Social Media Sea.
Join me for our next deep sea diving tour where we explore a place where Blogs and Articles go to feed.
By the way Blogs and Articles feed on Twitter's tweets and some Facebook creatures but we will discuss how best to keep the blogs and articles fed in the next tour.
So be looking for Part III of our series and if you liked this tour please tweet about it and post some content to share with other divers even bring a friend along on our next adventure!
