How to Remove Wood Stain From a Slate Tile

    • 1). Fill a bucket with warm water. Add 1 cup detergent to the water. Mix until the water is soapy.

    • 2). Dip a soft-bristled scrub brush into the soapy water and scrub it over the slate tile until the wood stain is softened enough that it comes off.

    • 3). Add just enough hydrogen peroxide to 3 tbsp. baking soda to make a thick paste if the wood stain still is visible.

    • 4). Rub the paste into the wood stain until it is gone.

    • 5). Rinse the slate with clear water and completely dry it with a clean cloth.
