How to Remove Wood Stain From a Slate Tile

- 1). Fill a bucket with warm water. Add 1 cup detergent to the water. Mix until the water is soapy.
- 2). Dip a soft-bristled scrub brush into the soapy water and scrub it over the slate tile until the wood stain is softened enough that it comes off.
- 3). Add just enough hydrogen peroxide to 3 tbsp. baking soda to make a thick paste if the wood stain still is visible.
- 4). Rub the paste into the wood stain until it is gone.
- 5). Rinse the slate with clear water and completely dry it with a clean cloth.
