How to Remove the Drain Basket From a Whirlpool Dishwasher
- 1). Unlock the door latch on the Whirlpool dishwasher and lower the door.
- 2). Pull the lower wash rack forward to locate the drain basket inside the bottom, below the rotating washer arm.
- 3). Twist the basket one-half turn to the left and lift the part out of the appliance. Be careful not to spill any waste caught in the basket strainer, which should be dumped in a garbage can.
