Sheet Cake

• Baking and decorating a sheet cake is a simple way to create a Wall-E themed cake. Frost the cake with white buttercream frosting. Hand draw Wall-E by piping yellow, brown, black and red colored frosting onto the cake. The robot is basically a square shape with binocular eyes. Add simple triangular track wheels and thin rectangular arms. Another idea for a sheet cake is to add small plastic toys from the movie on top of the plain cake to easily decorate the cake without drawing.
  
  

Wall-E

• Sculpt a Wall-E cake by baking three rectangular sheet cakes. Cut two of the sheet cakes into square pieces. Stack them together to create a cube shape. Cut the third sheet cake into two triangle shapes for the track wheels. Hold the pieces together with buttercream. Frost all the pieces together in their place with the appropriate colors. Purchase a cylinder cake stacker to become a neck and hold up the binocular eyes. Shape leftover cake into the eyes and frost accordingly. Use gum paste for the arms and attach with toothpicks or skewers.
  
  

EVE

• Some birthday children may want EVE rather than Wall-E on the cake. EVE may be sculpted from two rectangle sheet cakes. Cut one sheet cake into a square with a serrated knife. Then trim it into a round shape for the head. Shape the body from the other rectangle cake. Use leftover pieces of cake for the arms. Frost the cake with predominately white buttercream. Add black frosting for the face area and add two blue eyes.
  
  

Plant

• The plant inside the old boot is one of the main features of the Wall-E movie, with most of the characters trying to steal or save it. Construct your decorative cake around a real plant in a boot. You may place it between a Wall-E and EVE cake. Another idea is create the boot from a sheet cake. Cut it into two thin rectangle pieces and cut a square piece on one end. Shape it into a boot with a knife. Frost the boot with brown frosting and place a plastic green plant, from a fish supply store, on the top.
