- 1). Locate the main valve to your home sprinkler system, and turn the valve to shut it off. This valve will likely be located next to the outside water supply of your home.
- 2). Pull the top of the pop-up sprinkler head manually until it won't rise any farther. Locate the black spray tip just under the top of the head.
- 3). Turn the spray assembly counterclockwise to increase the angle of the spray pattern.
- 4). Turn the tip counterclockwise to decrease the spray pattern. You can decrease the pattern to as little as 25 degrees.
- 5). Press the top of the sprinkler head back into the ground. Turn on your sprinkler valve to test the adjustment, and repeat the steps as necessary until you are satisfied with the spray angle.
