How to Replace the Drive Belt for a Treadmill
- 1). Purchase a new treadmill drive belt according to your manufacturer's recommendations.
- 2). Turn off the power to your treadmill and unplug the power chord.
- 3). Remove the cover to the treadmill motor.
- 4). Remove the bolt and nut from the right side of the front roller of the treadmill with the socket wrench and T wrench.
- 5). Remove the screw that is located on the left side of the treadmill behind the speed sensor on the frame of your treadmill.
- 6). Slide the front roller out from the left hand side of the treadmill.
- 7). Remove the old treadmill motor drive belt.
- 8). Install the new drive belt where the old one was.
