- 1). Lean the buffing machine over and attach the cleaning pad according to the instructions for the machine.
- 2). Start at one end of the room and begin moving the buffer machine straight across the floor. Turn around at the other end of the room and slightly overlap the first run to get the best coverage. Remove large balls of soil from the pad after each pass.
- 3). Sweep the floor after cleaning using a stiff broom.
- 4). Shake the wax container to mix the material inside and spread a large section of the floor with the wax using a cloth. Run over that area with a new cleaning pad to mix it into the floor. Continue applying small section of wax and spreading it over the floor using the cleaning pad until the entire floor is covered.
- 5). Place the buffing pad onto the machine and begin working the wax into the floor in small, 6-by-6 foot sections. Do this until the wax is worked into the floor.
