How to Build a Floor Fountain
- 1). Chose the place in your home where you want to install your floor fountain.
- 2). Assemble the base reservoir for the water fountain, lining up the screw holes and using your screwdriver to install all the screws.
- 3). Place the fountain stand into the base reservoir, aligning the screw holes and using your screwdriver to install all the screws.
- 4). Place the pump into the bottom of the base reservoir. Install the pump and tubing according to the manufacturer's instructions. Keep the cords and cables from tangling, and feed them through the stand according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 5). Complete the installation of all floor fountain decorations, including the fountain hoods, shelves, stones, pebbles or lights, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 6). Add water to the reservoir container, to about half an inch to 1 inch below the top edge of the container, following manufacturer's instructions.
- 7). Make sure the pump is completely submerged in water, then turn the pump on and test the fountain for dry spots. If there are any, adjust the water fountain flow tabs to help shift the water. If necessary, adjust the water's flow rate using your pump adjustment dial.
