Substances To Avoid

• Certain substances, such as leather conditioners, oils, cleansing lotions or leather softeners, should not be used to clean or wash Rainbow's leather flip flops, as their application will damage the leather. Furthermore, soaking leather flip flops in water permanently darkens the leather and is not recommended as a washing method.
  
  

Washing Hemp and Canvas Rainbow Flip Flops

• Rainbow's hemp and canvas flip flops can be washed by directly applying a combination of water, laundry detergent, and even color-safe bleach, then scrubbing gently with a toothbrush. After soaking and scrubbing the shoes, remove the detergent by rinsing the flip flops with water and allowing them to dry.
  
  

Washing Leather Rainbow Flip Flops

• Rainbow's leather flip flops can be washed; however, due to the quality of the leather used, a combination of gentle soap and water is recommended in lieu of harsher detergents.
  
  To wash the leather flip flops, soak a wash cloth in a mixture of lukewarm water and a gentle soap (preferably an all-natural or organic soap), then wring it until it is lightly moist and soapy, but not dripping. Wipe the soapy cloth over the leather, rubbing in lightly soiled areas and gently employing a toothbrush for more heavily soiled areas. Soak the wash cloth in hot water to remove all of the soap, wring the wash cloth until it is only lightly moist, and proceed to remove traces of soap from the leather of the flip flops.
