Maytag Gas Range Instructions
- 1). Lift the lid of the Maytag range up and use a long-handled match or candle lighter to light each of the pilot lights located between the burners, even if you only plan to only use one burner. Close the range lid back into place.
- 2). Turn the burner control knob to the "Light" position on the burner you want to use until the burner lights up.
- 3). Adjust the burner control knob to the desired heat setting.
- 4). Place your cooking pot or pan over the burner and proceed to cook your food.
- 5). Turn the burner control knob to the "Off" position when you are done cooking. Remove the pot or pan from the burner using protective gear to avoid burn injuries.
- 1). Open the pilot light access panel at the bottom of the oven portion of the Maytag gas range.
- 2). Use a long-handled match or candle lighter to light the pilot light located at the back of the access panel.
- 3). Close the access panel.
- 4). Turn the oven control knob to the desired heat setting. Place your food in an oven-safe dish, and place the dish inside the oven compartment.
- 5). Turn the oven control knob to the "Off" position when your food is done cooking. Remove your food from the oven using protective gear to prevent burn injuries.
