How to Flavor Sugar

    • 1). Combine sugar with desired spices in an airtight container.

    • 2). Seal the container and store in a cool, dry place for at least 2 weeks.

    • 3). Shake the container daily to distribute the flavor throughout the sugar.

    • 4). Remove the whole spices from the sugar when you can no longer smell them, and replace with fresh spices.

    • 5). Refill the container with plain white sugar each time you remove some flavored sugar. This will ensure you never run out of flavored sugar. For instance, if you use 1 cup of flavored sugar in a recipe, add 1 cup unflavored sugar back into the flavored sugar container to become infused with flavor.
