Getting Abs
Having great looking abs is incredibly appealing, attractive and desirable, but most importantly it is easily achievable with the correct knowledge and information.
This article will show you how to get the desired six pack abs you want in as little time as possible.
Firstly here are some common there misconceptions about getting great looking abs: • Getting abs requires good genetics • Getting abs requires special equipment • Performing abs exercises alone will create a six pack • Dieting alone will produce great looking abs • Diet pills will get me a six pack Now, I will explain the two most important factors which must be understood for getting well-defined abs.
It is important to know that you must combine both factors for maximum results, you cannot get great abs by following just one factor - both are as important as the other and you should therefore introduce both factors into your current routine.
Factor 1 - have a good diet To get a well-defined six pack you must remove the layer of fat covering your abdominal area, in order to do this you must have a good diet which should be high in protein and moderate to low in fat and carbs, this helps to control insulin levels better, which is very important because insulin is the main hormone that stores body fat, you should therefore lose the fat covering your abdominal area with this diet which will make your six pack abs visible and appealing.
When you do eat carbohydrates make sure it includes whole grains rather than refined grains to help fill you up for longer and help prevent the storage of fat.
Some good whole grains include brown rice, oatmeal and wholemeal or wholegrain breads.
You should also make sure you cut out foods which are fatty or high in sugar.
Factor 2 - Exercise Regularly Having a good diet alone will not get you that well-defined six pack; you need to combine the diet with regular exercise.
The best form of exercise for getting abs is interval training - Interval training includes short intense bursts of exercise followed by a slightly longer period of rest, for example one exercise programme might include 45 seconds of running at an 75% pace, followed by 1 minute of rest, this could be repeated 6-8 times a session, 2-3 times a week.
Interval training is the best form of exercise for getting abs because it boosts your metabolism which means after your workout you will still be burning much more fat than if you were to go for a 60 minute run, Interval training is also very effective in burning fat because when you perform interval training it stimulates nerve pathways which increases the amount of energy producing cells (mitochondria) these cells are responsible for fat burning, which therefore results in an increase in the amount of fat burned during the workout.
Interval training is also time efficient and only needs to be done 2-3 times a week.
if you want to get great looking abs then you should perform interval training at least twice a week, each session should last around 10 - 30 minutes, the example I gave above would be a great session to perform if you are new to exercise.
