Ideas for "The Office" Halloween Costumes

    Michael Scott

    • Michael Scott is the bumbling office manager of the Dunder Mifflin Scranton office. Dressing as Michael can be as easy as wearing a professional suit and a name tag. Other costumes include wearing a Dunder Mifflin terrycloth robe over a shirt and tie as Michael Scott did in season five. This costume can also include a Dundee office award. Relabel a small trophy as a "Dundee" or you can purchase a Dundee from "The Office" website.

    Dwight Schrute

    • Dwight K. Schrute is a beet farmer and paper salesman in the office. He often acts as Michael's secondhand man. Costumes for Dwight are composed of a short-sleeved button down shirt with olive or brown colored ties. Dwight's signature wire-rimmed glasses make the costume identifiable. A Dunder Mifflin coffee mug or Dwight Schrute ID badge from "The Office" website complete the outfit.

    Jim Halpert

    • Jim is one of the few normal people to work in the Dunder Mifflin office. His daily attire is a light blue button up shirt rolled up at the elbows and a solid black tie. Name badges can make this outfit more recognizable or the wearer can opt to recreate one of Jim's own sub-par Halloween outfits. For example, "Three Hole Punch Jim" includes affixing black construction paper circles to one side of the body while wearing the Jim outfit.

    Pam Beasley

    • Pam Beasley is the office receptionist who Jim has harbored a long crush on. In later seasons of the show they get married. Therefore Pam and Jim couples outfits are a welcome option. Pam has wavy hair, half of which is usually pulled up behind her head. Her usual outfit is a button-up blouse, work skirt and sweater. Notable additions can include her cat face Halloween costume or a yogurt cap medal from season two. Pam and Jim wedding outfits are also an option for couples.

    Angela Martin

    • Angela is a notorious cat lover and head of the party planning committee. She has also been involved on and off with Dwight in past seasons. She is a high-strung character who normally dresses conservatively and wears her hair pulled back tightly. Additions to the costume can include a cat lover's manual, stuffed cat toy or clipboard to demonstrate her position on the committee.

    Kelly Kapoor

    • Kelly is a rather shallow character known for her obsessive relationships and love of fashion. Kelly often dresses stylishly with bright pink or purple fashions, floral prints and dresses. Again, a name tag can be used to identify the costume, but when dressing as Kelly a high-pitched stereotypical "Valley Girl" voice can complete the effect.

    Ryan Howard

    • Kelly's on-and-off boyfriend Ryan began as a temporary employee who was promoted and subsequently fired only to return as a lowly employee once again. Ryan typically wears a button down shirt and slacks, a dark tie and black plastic frame glasses. To complete the costume, style hair with gel and include a cell phone or tablet computer, which Ryan often plays with. Like Jim and Pam, Ryan and Kelly makes a good couples costume.

    Full Cast Group Costume

    • There are a host of supporting characters in the Office, including the alcoholic Meredith Palmer, the soft-spoken Phyllis, the warehouse worker Darrell Philbin and the new employee Andy Bernard. The full cast of characters makes a great option for a group costume theme. Often the main outfit is office attire with identifying accessories. For example, Meredith often wears ill-fitting dresses, Phyllis has tightly curled hair and wears large, thick glasses, Darrell sports warehouse attire with the Dunder Mifflin logo and Andy is known for wearing bowties and playing the guitar or banjo.
