General Hospital Daily Recap for October 8, 2012

At the European hospital, Duke Lavery has a lot to say to Robin, even though it's questionable that a) she can hear him; and b) that she even has a brain with which to disseminate information. He tells Robin that she knows how much he loves Anna.

On a roll, Duke continues, reminiscing about what an engaging child Robin was, and he blames Heather Webber for everything because she "gave your mother hope that you were alive." He feels bad for Anna that she is missing her daughter, but he can't tell her the truth just yet.

"I will mend Anna's broken heart very soon," he promises.

As Duke prepares to leave, the doctor enters and reminds him that Robin received too much electroshock, and any brain damage may be irreversible. She also asks if he's concerned about Luke Spencer, who was nosing around. Duke isn't concerned, saying, "I know Anna's heart. I'm the man she loves."

Jason shows up at Steve's place looking for Heather. Steve says he hasn't heard from her, and on the subject of his mother, he's mighty discouraged. He wants her found and returned to Ferncliff sooner rather than later.

Jason refuses to tell him why he needs to find Heather, but Steve knows it has something to do with Tea Delgado's baby. Except, as Jason explains, the baby isn't Tea Delgado's -- it's Sam's. Heather was already in Llanview with John McBain arrived there, and now Heather and the baby are gone. Jason further says that he can't tell Sam yet, not with the baby missing. Steve disagrees. Sam should know he's alive and has been well cared for.

Todd in his office on the phone, asking, "How hard is it to find one lonely crazy lady?" as Carly sleeps on the couch. Carly wakes up and says she wishes the happenings at the wedding were nothing but a dream.

Carly wants to go home and see Josslyn, but Todd has spoken with Mercedes, and Josslyn has had her breakfast and is at preschool. He has breakfast for Carly. She's not hungry, but he insists that she eat. Carly is very unhappy. She can't believe she stalled Jax for a year and then finally signed the divorce papers -- because she was in love with Johnny.

John McBain appears at Anna's office, and she invites him to join in the search for Joe Scully Jr.

At General Hospital, Maxie tells herself that seeking out Ellie isn't stalking, and then stops by the reception desk, where Ellie is, and checks her phone. Ellie sees her and says hello. They talk for a minute about the wedding. Maxie acts as if it was kind of a mess, but Ellie was blown away by it. "It was one of the best dates of my life," she says.

Maxie fishes for more info and learns that Ellie and Spinelli (ElSpin) spent the night together. It turns out they spent the night in the observatory. Ellie makes the observation that Maxie seems relieved that's all it was. Oh, no, Maxie protests, she doesn't care. Ellie finds it odd that Maxie would be interested since she's married. Maxie assures Ellie that she cares about Spinelli as a friend. He's been hurt, and she doesn't want that to happen to him again.

Ellie's smile is sincere, but she's either a great actress or very naive. Maxie, she says, must really miss her husband. However, now she has one worry off of her shoulders - Damian! He's in a relationship, so he won't pine after you. You won't worry then, and you'll be friends. Yeah, that's just what Maxie wants to hear.

Spinelli approaches Ellie and is surprised to see Maxie there. It also makes him nervous. Ellie says they were doing "girl talk" and she's looking forward to doing it again. ElSpin takes off for a picnic. Hope they have heavy coats.

Speaking of Spinelli, he arrives at Sam's in response to an urgent summons from her. Sam demands that Spinelli tell her what Jason is keeping from her. He swears ignorance, and she knows he's lying. Spinelli claims that Jason has not been very communicative.

Sam asks if it has something to do with a baby case that Spinelli was working on. What baby were you talking about? she asks. Spinelli keeps changing the subject or trying to distract her. Sam refuses to let him leave.

Spinelli finally says that he knows that there was the "possibility of something" but it turned out to be a mistake. And she will have to ask Jason about it. He manages to slither out.

Anna hears the story of Heather and the missing baby from McBain, and she verifies that Heather hasn't been seen in Port Charles. She's heartbroken for Tea, and she, too, wonders why Todd is under Heather's thumb. McBain informs her that the baby is Sam's.

Anna states that she has a personal vendetta against Heather. For that reason, she had to remove herself from the search so that Heather wouldn't get off on a technicality. Why, she asks, did Heather go to Llanview? What is the connection between Tea and Heather? McBain goes through what happened the night the babies were born, and Heather's involvement. "Heather wants something from that child," Anna says. "Poor Tea -- she'll lose the baby all over again."

Anna arrives home and realizes immediately someone is inside. She pulls her gun as she gets to the door and opens it. She sees a man with his back to her. "Who are you?" she yells out. Duke turns around (was he on one of those one-minute European flights GH is so famous for?). "It's not possible," Anna whispers.

Steve calls Olivia and gets voice mail. He leaves her a message. There's a knock at the door, and he opens it. It's Heather...with the baby.

After Carly leaves, Todd answers his door. "I know what you did," John McBain announces.

Sam phones Jason, but it turns out he's at her door. "You need to sit down," he begins. "It's about your son. Your son is alive."
