How to Remove Ink Stains From Metal

    • 1). Wet a paper towel with rubbing alcohol. Wring out the excess alcohol so the towel is just damp.

    • 2). Wipe the ink stain on your metal surface with the alcohol-dampened cloth. As the ink stain softens and comes off, move to a clean portion of the cloth and continue to wipe.

    • 3). Apply baking soda to a damp sponge. Scrub off any remaining ink stain on your metal surface with the mild abrasive. Baking soda adds a little extra scrubbing power without scratching surfaces.

Rinse the sponge with water to wash off the ink and baking soda residue. Squeeze out the sponge and wipe off the metal.

    • 5). Place a drop of dishwashing detergent on your sponge and wash off the surface of your metal. Rinse with a damp sponge and dry completely with a paper towel.
