- 1). Close the drain stopper on the sink and fill with hot water from the faucet, adding half a cup of degreaser dishwashing liquid as the sink fills.
- 2). Soak the sink for an hour to allow the degreaser to dissolve slime and grime; then drain the water.
- 3). Pour a few tablespoons of a cleaning product suitable for your particular sink onto a clean sponge. Always check that your cleaning product is appropriate for your sink surface.
- 4). Scrub the sink with the cleanser on the sponge or scrub brush, adding water as necessary to remove the cleaner from the sink surface, so you can gauge your progress.
- 5). Rinse the sink with cold water, drain, and wipe down with paper towels.
