Shirts

• The blue and gold uniform for the female Cub Scout leader has a yellow blouse that comes in long and short sleeve with button-down pockets and epaulets. When wearing the tan and olive uniform, a female leader wears the same tan, button-down top as male leaders do. Both shirts must have all of the proper insignia sewn on in the proper places.
  
  

Insignia

• Each leader is given insignia that, like with the Cub Scouts, need to be properly worn on her shirts. Insignia show rank in leadership, pack details and any awards received. Leaders need to wear the proper color of epaulets on their shirts, which for Cub Scouts is blue. The U.S. flag emblem should be on the right sleeve with the den number below it and the Centennial Quality Unit Award, if received, four inches lower. The left sleeve should display the council shoulder patch, unit number and trained leader strip. The right pocket needs to have the Boy Scouts of American strip above it and any temporary insignia centered on the pocket. The World Crest emblem should be centered over the left pocket with any embroidered square knots centered above the pocket in rows of three with any service stars.
  
  

Pants, Shorts and Skirts

• Female Cub Scout leaders can choose to wear trousers, shorts, skirts or culottes. If the leader chooses to wear the blue and gold uniform, the bottoms must be in the official Cub Scout blue color. The tan and olive uniform requires the bottoms be olive.
  
  

Accessories

• When wearing pants, shorts or culottes, the female Cub Scout leader can wear the official Cub Scout blue socks in ankle, crew or knee length. When wearing a skirt, the leader has a choice between wearing the appropriate socks or hosiery. Leaders must wear the official web belt with the Cub Scout logo on it and have their shirts tucked in. The leader can also choose between wearing a hat and neckerchief with the Cub Scout leader insignia on it or the hat and neckerchief worn by the scouts she is leading.
