- 1). Wash the potatoes, pat dry with a paper towel and poke a fork into two sides of each.
- 2). Rub vegetable oil over the surface of each potato and sprinkle with sea salt.
- 3). Cut or tear aluminum foil into squares big enough to fit the potatoes and tightly wrap them.
- 4). Place a layer of wrapped potatoes on the bottom of the crock pot. Stack additional layers on top. You should be able to fit six to eight potatoes in a layer, with additional potatoes stacked on top, depending on the size of the potatoes and the crock pot. Leave room for the lid to close securely.
- 5). Set the crock pot to high and cook for four hours, or on low for six hours. This will cook approximately six to eight potatoes, or a single layer. Allow additional time for more potatoes, checking every 15 minutes or so.
