- 1). Pour the mold medium into the petri dish and replace the lid. Allow the medium to harden to the bottom of the dish for one hour.
- 2). Remove the lid from the petri dish.
- 3). Place the dish on a level surface in the center of the room.
- 4). Leave the petri dish in the room undisturbed for one hour.
- 5). Secure the lid onto the petri dish. Allow the dish to incubate.
- 6). Check for signs of mold growth in the dish at 48 hours, 72 hours and once again at the 96-hour mark. If no visible signs of mold growth, discard the petri dish.
- 7). Follow the instructions on where to ship the petri dish for processing.
