Ideas a Teenage Girl Can Make Her Boyfriend for His Birthday
- If you can knit or crochet, you can make your boyfriend a gift he'll be proud to flaunt. If he's a fan of the long-running BBC show "Doctor Who," make him a Tom Baker-style scarf. A shorter version in his favorite team's colors may be more practical if he's not a science fiction movie fan. Knit him socks, or make him a stylish beanie to keep his head warm. Crochet it from cotton or string if the weather is warm.
- Find a cookie jar at a thrift store, wash it and fill it with his favorite home-baked cookies. Enclose a card promising to fill the jar again one time each month. Fill a basket or a tin with homemade chocolate-dipped strawberries, marshmallows, nuts or pretzels. Make him fudge or taffy or peanut brittle, or give him an assortment containing things you know he loves as well as things he's never tried.
- Make a scrapbook for your boyfriend to commemorate your time together. Include ticket stubs, flyers and other memorabilia from places you've seen together as well as photographs of the two of you. Ask his friends for photos, cards and letters to go in the scrapbook, too. Another great gift is a framed photo of the two of you or even a digital picture frame that will play a constantly changing slideshow of your favorite photos.
- Write him a song. If you don't sing or play an instrument, write it in calligraphy on beautiful paper and give it to him that way. If you do sing or play an instrument, have a friend record you performing the song, and give him the CD or DVD of your performance. Your song can be instrumental only, but, if you write lyrics, make sure to include references to things that are important to your boyfriend. It doesn't have to be a love song; if he doesn't like the mushy stuff, get a group together and do a parody of his favorite pop song.
