Fake Flower Crafts

    • Use fake flowers to create long-lasting, beautiful arrangements.fake flower image by Vinicius Tupinamba from Fotolia.com

Fake flower decorations eliminate the chore and expense of replacing real flowers every time they wilt and die. Synthetic flowers have come a long way, sometimes requiring a second, close-up look before you notice they aren't real blossoms. This has made them common in various settings such as homes, doctor's offices, hotel lobbies and the front yards of homes for sale, to name a few. Many fake flowers are made of polyester, a durable material that conforms easily to a wire mold and stands up to many uses. Craft stores stock loads of beautiful fake flowers at very affordable prices.

    Wreaths

    • Many fake flowers find their way into wreaths on the doors of homes and businesses, especially at holiday times. Because they're so durable, you can manipulate the flowers and stems into the circular pattern of a wreath without damaging them. You can also clip or glue a fake flower anywhere on a wreath, covering a spot that's become worn or broken, or adding new flair to a tired old wreath. Most craft stores sell bare wreath forms that you can decorate as you wish.

    Bouquets

    • Make a bouquet out of fake flowers and you won't have to bother with all too quickly finding yourself with a vase full of faded, dried stems and petals. Create several bouquets to match holidays and other special events and swap them out for each occasion. Add artificial herb plants or curling vines to give your bouquet a more natural look and to balance the vibrant colors of the flowers with some greenery.

    Art Car

    • Some fake flowers make their way onto cars in art car parades. Although it's not uncommon to affix a fake flower to a rear view mirror, a dashboard or an antenna, some creative car decorators go all out and cover large parts of a vehicle and even the whole thing to create a showpiece flower art car. Spray glue applied to the base of the flowers is they key to efficiently and effectively creating a car "garden."
