Which Politician Better Relates to the Common American?
America, are you ready to elect our next leader for the next four years? Get ready, because election day will be here before you know it.
If you are still undecided on your candidate, you are not alone.
It can be a challenge to distinguish between the candidates if you base your decision on a series of campaign speeches.
There will be several differences between the two candidates in their campaign speeches.
But more often than not, the campaign speeches will sound so similar; you won't remember who said what.
Presidential candidates will spend the next few weeks making the same promises: - fewer taxes for the average worker - money for education - a better economy - better health insurance options They will also tell you how the opposition will make the same promises but won't honor them once elected.
Instead of focusing on their own campaigns, they will tell you what the other guy isn't doing.
My favorite statement is the one about the other guy being out of touch with the typical American voter...
Really? This one makes me laugh.
Although both candidates are independently wealthy, they would like you to believe they can relate to your life.
Do they realize the typical American; living from paycheck to paycheck could lose everything if they missed a single paycheck? I am not sure which candidate could miss a paycheck and become homeless within the same month.
The average American paycheck probably wouldn't cover a dinner check for either Obama or McCain.
Finally, the best speech is the loser's concession speech.
After months of telling us how the opposition would be a terrible president; he will change his mind and tell us that his rival will make a fine president and Americans will need to rally behind him.
