How to Make Pony Bows
- 1). Cut approximately one dozen 12-inch ribbons with your scissors. Cut one end of the ribbon at an angle, and cut the other end straight across.
The ribbons can be a variety of colors and patterns. Mix and match the ribbons to achieve your desire colored palette and pattern. - 2). Spray the ends of the cut ribbon with anti-fray aerosol. Allow the ribbons to dry completely so they are no longer sticky or wet. Work outside, holding the aerosol away from your body.
- 3). Lay the hair elastic at the straight-cut end of your first ribbon. Fold this end over the hair elastic approximately half an inch.
- 4). Sew the folded end of the ribbon to the ribbon beneath it. The ribbon should now be attached to the hair elastic.
- 5). Sew the rest of the ribbons to the hair elastic in this manner.
- 6). Tie your hair up in a ponytail with the ribbon-covered hair elastic --- then you can sport this adorable look.
