How to Remove Melted Wax From a Votive Holder
- 1). Collect the votive candle holders containing melted wax and attempt to gently pry the cooled melted wax from the side of the votive holder using the thin metal spatula. If gentle prying does not release the wax, set that votive holder aside.
- 2). Set the votive votive holders carefully into the freezer and freeze for five minutes to shrink the wax slightly. If the melted wax has not cooled in the votive holder, freeze for an additional five to ten minutes or until all wax has hardened.
- 3). Remove votive holders from the freezer. Flip each holder upside down and tap on a hard surface, such as a countertop, to release the wax.
- 4). Wash the votive holders in hot, soapy water after removing the melted wax to remove waxy residue and small wax chips that may remain.
