How to Fix a Spray Bottle

    • 1). Remove the spray nozzle by unscrewing it.

    • 2). Run the nozzle under warm water for at least a minute. This will help soften the material that is clogging the nozzle.

    • 3). Press a pin into the small hole on the front of the nozzle. This is where the liquid sprays out.

    • 4). Completely immerse the nozzle in distilled white vinegar if it still does not work. This will help dissolve the clogs inside the nozzle tubes. Let it soak for 10 minutes.

    • 5). Rinse the nozzle off with clear water and twist it back onto the spray bottle. Test it to see whether you fixed it.

    • 6). Untwist the nozzle and remove it if the spray bottle still isn't spraying. It might not be spraying because there is a hole in the tube.

    • 7). Examine the tube to locate the hole in the tube. If the hole is too high in the sprayer, you may be unable to repair the spray bottle.

    • 8). Cut the tube above the hole with scissors. This may mean that you will have to keep the spray bottle full of liquid, at least higher than the tube, to use it.
