Finished with John and Marlena

Brady overheard John tell Marlena that there was no way he would ever give Kristen a second chance, but that Brady could never know the truth or he'd risk losing him. Brady didn't let on, at first. Then, finally, he erupted and admitted he'd heard John and Marlena plotting against him and Kristen.

John tried to deny it, but Brady wouldn't hear it. He threw the plaque down that John had given him.

John yelled that he loved Brady. "I know you love me, but I am finished with you. I'm sick of your lies," spat Brady, telling John and Marlena that he was through with both of them. Then, he stormed off.

A Marriage in Crisis

After Brady left, things went from bad to worse between the estranged John and Marlena. Marlena ran after John in the square and begged him to talk to her. "Leave me alone," retorted John. Marlena wouldn't give up. Finally, John told her that she'd ruined everything. "Stay out of my son's life. Stay out of mine," barked John.

Reacting with a Proposal

Back at the DiMera mansion, Kristen and EJ were discussing family matters. EJ noted that he'd asked Sami to move in with him there; then, he questioned Kristen about her true feelings for Brady. It seemed like she had real feelings for him. Kristen admitted she cared about Brady deeply, even though she realized they couldn't actually live happily ever after.

Later, Brady returned to the mansion, more determined than ever to be with her.

Kristen asked him what was going on. "Nothing you can't fix; right here, right now," replied Brady. Kristen was perplexed. Then, Brady got down on his knee and asked Kristen to marry him.

Time to Think

Daniel and Jennifer's attempt to make amends didn't go well. Instead, they ended up having another misunderstanding about Chloe. Daniel brought up Jack. He suggested that Jennifer wasn't ready to move on, because she was afraid of betraying Jack. "That's why you're pushing me away, and you're just using Chloe as an excuse to do it," said Daniel. "You think I am coming up with reasons to not move on, to not be happy?" asked Jennifer. Daniel did. Then, he told Jennifer he had to go. He was catching a flight to San Francisco in a couple of hours.

Jennifer couldn't believe Daniel was just walking away. Upset and confused, Jennifer realized she needed time alone to think. After a chat with Maggie, she decided to head out to the Horton cabin on Smith Island.

Intercepting Trouble

At the hospital, Abigail intercepted Anne before she could discover Cameron conducting shady business with a mystery man. The two women ended up getting into a fight, and Cameron rushed to Abigail’s defense.

Later, Abigail subtly tried to get answers from Cameron about what was going on earlier. Cameron, however, dodged her questions and shut her down, totally unaware that she'd witnessed his transaction with a mystery associate.
