Fun in the Turkish Sun: Dalaman and the Surrounding Resorts

If you are planning a holiday to Turkey and looking in to booking airport transfers, Dalaman is one of the most popular airports to arrive in.
Not only is it an excellent destination in itself, but it is also the jumping off point to a number of other top resorts in the area.

Dalaman
The town itself is the gateway to the region as it has an international airport.

Marmaris is just under two hours away by road from the airport, but it is still within easy reach.
The town has an excellent beach, great nightlife and plenty of restaurants.
Diving is a popular activity, as are boat trips.

Akyaka
If you travel to Akyaka on airport transfers, Dalaman is about an hour away, so you can enjoy journey with ease.
One of the most popular things to do here is take a boat trip to Sedir, which is also known as Cleopatra Island, to see the Roman remains.
The beach in the resort is excellent, and there are plenty of water sports to try out.
There is also a weekly market held every Wednesday, where you can pick up some souvenirs or local food.
This is considered more peaceful than some of the other resorts.

Dalyan
Being only 40 minutes away, Dalyan is very easy to reach.
The main attraction here is the Mud Baths of Dalyan, situated next to Lake KöyceÄ?iz.
Here you can sit in hot pools of mud, and the mineral waters are said to have therapeutic properties.
Iztuzu Beach is fantastic for swimming and you may even spot a loggerhead turtle at the right time of year.
You could also take a day trip to Kaunos to see the well-preserved ruins of this ancient city.
