How to Repair a Dripping Moen Single-Handle Kitchen Faucet

    • 1). Turn off your water by closing both water valves under the sink.

    • 2). Remove the plug on the back of the faucet that covers up the set screw. Loosen the screw with the Allen wrench and slide the handle off the cartridge.

    • 3). Remove the dome cap, which is a round, cylindrical piece right under the faucet handle. Twist it to the left to loosen it and pull it off.

    • 4). Remove any additional parts under the dome like the spout or washers (some Moen faucets have a spout piece under the dome; unscrew this to remove it). Remove the cartridge nut with a wrench.

    • 5). Remove the cartridge from the faucet head by lifting it straight up and out of the faucet. Insert a replacement cartridge and reattach the cartridge nut and tighten it with the wrench.

    • 6). Replace the dome cap and tighten this, then install the handle and tighten the screw with the Allen wrench.
