How to Affix Rings on Stained Glass
- 1). Plug in the soldering iron, and allow it to heat up fully.
- 2). Clip the metal ring onto an alligator clip of the third hand. Prop up the stained glass until it touches the metal ring in the desired position.
- 3). Apply flux to where the edge of the glass and the metal ring touch.
- 4). Touch the soldering iron to the place where the flux was applied to solder it.
- 5). When a large bead of solder is formed, remove the solder spool and allow the solder bead to flow over the metals, sealing the joint.
- 6). Repeat steps 2 through 5 until all rings are affixed.
