How to Troubleshoot a Lennox Elite
- 1). Ensure the Lennox Elite air conditioner is connected to a grounded electrical outlet that is working. Reset the fuse and/or circuit breaker if needed.
- 2). Look to see if the power switch is turned "On" if the air conditioner has power but is not working. Turn the temperature control to a temperature that is cooler than the air temperature, as the air conditioner will not work if the set temperature is warmer than the current one.
- 3). Clean away any dirt, debris or obstructions from the access panel, vents and grilles. Close the access panels firmly and ensure the cover has been removed from the outside unit, as this will prevent proper function.
- 4). Clean the air filter if the air conditioner is not cooling properly. Turn off and unplug the unit before performing any maintenance. Remove the front access cover and pull out the filter. Replace the filter with a new filter if "Disposable" is written on the side of the filter. If "Re-Usable" or "Permanent" is written on the side of the filter, clean it with warm soapy water and rinse. Dry completely before replacing in the air conditioner.
- 5). Contact an authorized service professional if the above does not resolve the issue.
