Starcraft 2 - Zerg Roach Rush

So you want to win the game in the first 8 minutes? Well I would suggest a roach rush but you must know a few things first.
This guide will show you how and when to rush with roaches and when you stay away from making roaches.
The roach rush can be very powerful and effective if used right but it can also cost you the game if you use it wrong.
Right the bat lets talk about the strengths and weaknesses of the roach unit, the roach does very high damage and is also a armored unit, so what does that mean? It means the roach will do very poorly against a marauder because the marauder does extra damage to armored units.
The immortal also does extra damage to armored units so the roach is very weak against it as well.
The roach is very strong against a zealot, stalker, or marine.
So as you can see I wouldn't normally recommend doing a roach rush against a Terran player simply because the marauders will rip you apart.
However, I would use a roach rush against a Protoss player who will not have immortals by the time you hit him.
I would normally skip right over zerglings and build a roach warren as soon as the spawning pool is done.
Only make one extractor because you will not need a ton of gas.
After the roach warren is done just start pumping roaches and when you get about 15 or 20 of them and send them all at your opponent.
You must either win the game with the rush or takeout most of the workers, if you are unable to do either of these then you will most likely lose the game due to crippling your economy in order to get the roaches so fast.
