How to Make Really Tasty Hot Cocoa
- 1
Hershey's is one of the more inexpensive chocolate syrups.
Boil some water. There are instant hot cocoa's that say not to let it boil, ignore them for this recipe. I'll explain this later. - 2
Nestle is one of the more inexpensive instant cocoas.
While the water is boiling, you can get the mixture ready. Pour some chocolate syrup into your mug then dump in some instant cocoa. The amount depends on how strong you want your cocoa. - 3). Once the water is boiling, fill up your mug to an inch from the top. Stir.

Now for the part that makes it taste the best. Fill the mug up the rest of the way with your choice of milk. I use Soy milk because I am allergic to cow milk. This makes the drink more creamy and not taste like chocolate water. It also cools the cocoa down for you(this is why I say use boiling water, so that it's still hot after you put the milk in). - 5
You can add different flavors to your cocoa too. For those of you who like alcohol, I recommend Baileys or Kahlua. For those too young for alcohol, I recommend putting a tea bag of some sort, I prefer peppermint myself. If you do use a tea bag, put it in before the milk. Again, leave the tea bag in for as strong as you want it. If you have essential oil, which usually is not intended for ingestion, you can get a toothpick, dip it in the oil, then dip it in the cocoa. Trust me, that is definitely enough to flavor it. - 6
Also, if desired, put whip cream on top. I found this really tasty brown sugar whip cream and it goes really well with this recipe.
