One Life to Live Recap for Wednesday, November 12, 2003, cont.

< Continued from page 1

Al and John discuss their careers, and Al asks how "mom" is doing! That seems so funny, but he does remember their mother. John tells him that he should call her sometime to find out, but Al says he?s got his own world to worry about. John replies, "And you think the rest of the world can just go to Hell, right?" Al raises his glass to that, and John doesn?t stick around. When he leaves, Al realizes that he has become a jerk.

Luna tells him that Michael is a lost soul, and Marcie is the one to help him through.

Antonio and John take the matchbook to Bo. John says that the killer is trying to play cat and mouse. He meant to leave the matchbook, because this killer doesn?t make mistakes. They discuss that three of the victims were either waitresses or strippers, but they don?t know how Elyssa could have been tied in with them unless she was working on a case.

Nora tries to comfort Gabrielle and tells her that she?ll do what she can to help Gabrielle get the space she needs. Gabrielle feels bad about shutting Bo out, but she can?t change right now. Al was her baby. Nora talks her into doing something silly and taking a dance class together, a dance class taught by Roxy.

At the police station, Al finds Marcie, but she tells him to leave. She says that she?s busy and he?s a jerk. He starts to huff and puff and walk away, but he turns around and blurts out that he?s in love with her. She wants to know what kind of game he?s playing.

She just lost her best friend. Al was the love of her life and he?s never coming back, and it?s because of mean narrow-minded jerks like Michael. She stops when she sees him looking at her intently, and she wants to know why he?s looking at her like that. He grabs her and kisses her, but she slaps him and tells him to leave. He stomps away Michael-style.

John listens to records when Natalie interrupts him with a knock on the door. She tells him that her life doesn?t make sense right now, and there are times when she feels like being dead, but she?s not going to sit around waiting for those moments to happen. She knows that she has to go on living, but every time she sees John, she realizes all over again that Chris won?t return. She asks John to stop reaching out to her. She says, "I know you feel guilty. Deal with it." He replies that he has to live with this for the rest of his life, but it?s not about him. It?s about her, and he wants to know what she needs from him. Suddenly, she doesn?t know why she even came. He reminds her that she came to tell him to go to Hell. "Go to Hell," she says as she leaves. (I feel myself becoming a Nat and John fan over the horizon)

Al runs into Old Pete and yells for him to watch where he?s going. However, he realizes what he has said, so he backs up and gives the old man some food. Luna smiles nearby, believing this is all going to work out.
